Hair Today Gone Tomorrow

How many of you ladies feel me that your hair is your security blanket? My hair has been long for a couple of years now and every single time I cut it...I instantly regret it.
However lately even I recognize my hair is way too long. And for someone who more often than not throws it into a ponytail for work it can be a bother.

Don't even get me started on my disdain for blow drying.

Here is the last time I cut trimmed it.
Before I cut and darkened it.
After I cut and removed some of the ombre.
I know - not much difference!
Easier to see the difference side by side.

So I am bringing the ombre back (because it's such an easy hairstyle to maintain) but thinking of chopping some considerable length. Check out my Hair Please board for more looks I am liking (they basically all look the same.)

So what do you think?
Chop it and inevitably regret it?
Or stick to what I like?
and in honor of #tbt here is the last time I cut it. My 26th Birthday!

  2. Ah I'm thinking of chopping mine off too!! I love the shorter look on you (and the ombre is gorgeous!) but I've always been jealous of the girls with long, straight hair because that's what I wish I had, so I'm not much help. I think it gets so confusing with all the different opinions and I have a hard time making decisions, so I'm just doing what I like best. That's my advice at least :)

  3. I personally think that if you regret it every time you cut it, go with what you know you'll like, the ombre!! I have never had my hair short or colored and I'm ready for a change, but even the slightest trim makes me sad...I have issues lol! can't wait to see what you pick!

  4. I can't pull off the super long hair and definitely can't pull off ombre but you can so I say keep it! Long dark hair is so pretty and I'm always to envious of girls who have it. My mom has always said to wear your hair long(er) when you're young because when you get older you can't wear it as long. Unless your Kyle Richards and wear it to your butt at 45 but that's another issue!

  6. I can never talk myself into cutting my hair, but I love it short on everyone else! I love both of the looks on you!

  7. I know exactly what you mean! Mine gets so long and I get sick of it and then chop it off. Last time I cut off like 14 inches and donated it - and I had a long bob that barely rested on my shoulders. It was cute for a day and then I hated it hahaha, short hair is actually wayyy more work for me. I told Aaron, if I ever start talking about cutting it again, immediately stop me! ;)

  8. You have the adorable face for both styles...I chopped mine off last year and seeing yours makes me want it back...waaah!...however, I do love how quick it is for me to do my hair in the morning and the volume I get with shorter layers.

  13. Love the ombre! I'm such a chicken when it comes to my hair. It's been long for the last like 5 years and I was thinking about cutting it into a long bob after I got married this summer but I just can't bring myself to do it! I know it will grow back but still. So I'm going to stay cut your hair and maybe you'll give me some motivation to actually do it, too haha!

  14. Love the ombre and length. I have really think and naturally wavy hair that is way easier to style long than short so I say LONG. :)

  16. Cut it! I went through this same thing and finally chopped 10+ inches last summer. I got an a-line cut with ombre color and it was the best! Long enough to still add texture/wave but also short enough to style quickly (don't mind my oompa loompa skin color in the after photo... I blame hotel lighting!) http://instagram.com/p/bKduqaB0hM/

  18. such a tough call! I love your shorter hair but I'm a true long hair lover at heart. I can never get mine to grow as long as I'd like...I love the ombre though and think you look wonderful either way!

  21. I'm going through a similar hair dilemma- am I keeping it long because I think it looks good or just because I think I'll regret it if I chop it off?!? Just came across your blog and look forward to stopping in for fun pics and blurbs!
