23 weeks

How far along: 23 weeks, 1 day
Mini is the size of a: papaya (8 in., 1.2 lbs.)
Maternity Clothes: yes and no
Stretch Marks: body is being kind however mini is expected to go through a growth spurt in the next two weeks so I'll have to lather that cream up!
Sleep: pretty good!
Symptoms: Last week out of nowhere in the middle of the night I woke up with a charley horse. Can you say OUCH?! Holy hell, never had one of those before. The crazy thing is my friend Amy literally texted me the next day asking if I had gotten one. Too weird.
Best Moment of the Week:Celebrating Easter with the in laws. The weather was amazing and it felt good to just mellow out.
Movement: Oh yes! She is definitely growing, before I could only feel her low in my body but now I can feel her more on my belly.
Cravings: nada
Gender: ribbons and bows
Belly Button In or Out: In
Wedding Ring on or Off: On
Anything Making You Queasy or Sick: nope!
What I Miss: oysters! My father in law brought some home and I was so sad I couldn't enjoy them raw!
What I am Looking Forward to: going to visit my friend Whitney this Friday. Really excited to see her and give her a big old squeeze!
Labor Signs: please no
Nursery: Nothing new this week.
Emotions: pretty good!

  4. You are glowing, positively RADIANT. And you have really "popped" -- someone asked me just this weekend when I felt I did the same, and I said 22/23 weeks. Now, tell me about those amazing white jeans ... are they maternity?! With maybe only about 2 or so weeks left of my pregnancy, I'm soooo not "needing" white jeans, but I would love some!

  5. Oh yes, and I agree with Jillian -- I find that on days that I eat a banana, no charley horses. It could be purely coincidental and an old wives tale, but it's worth a banana a day to try to stave them off :) They are the worst. Also, if I feel one coming on, I've found that if I flex my foot hard, it helps to counteract it. Not fun.

  20. I second (er, third) the banana recommendation. Through both my pregnancies, I always found that plenty of water helped avoid cramping as well. :)

New reader BTW... love your blog. Stumbled upon it from another I read (love it when that happens!) :)

  21. New to your blog! Congrats on your sweet baby girl. I am a mother of 3 boys and each pregnancy has had their challenges. Husbands are useful for massaging out charlie horses :)

  24. Ah so cute Laura! Those charlie horses are the worst. I got them a lot with Mila I remember...not as much with Phoenix. So odd how every pregnancy is different!
