Bikini Dilemnas

Like most people I am so excited that summer is quickly arriving (June 21st to be exact!) While I have always strongly loved the summer more than any other season this summer may prove different.
The combination of my last two months of pregnancy. Which -TANGENT- why do people say you're pregnant for 9 months? Because it's 10 months. On Sunday I am 32 weeks pregnant - which is the start of my eighth month but I clearly have two months to go.
Anyways...
So in combination of having two more months of being pregnant in the heat of the summer I also have to do something that most women loathe...

You guys I don't even like bathing suit shopping without being pregnant so when I decided to try on a couple of suits last week well it was more than depressing. On top of having a monstrous belly my boobs have taken on their own zip code. Which is sucky because they already had their own zip code prior to November 2013. So now they just seemed to have taken up residency two towns over.
With an upcoming week long vacation to the Trinity Alps I need a suit and I need one fast.

Some options:

Maternity Bikini Top - I could always get this and pair it with cute bottoms from Victoria's Secret
L*Space Shirring Suit

And if I wasn't pregnant and my boobs were smaller I would totally be investing in these!

Mara Hoffman Cami Underwire Top
VS Halter Beach Sexy
L*Space Wild Child

  1. gal....I'm so with you. When I was pregnant, my boobs absolutely killed me because they were so huge. It might have been my least favorite part about being pregnant. All those suits are adorable and you will look great. I had some luck with Jcrew Tankini's when I was pregnant if you want to check them out too!

  2. I was just looking for maternity suits- try ASOS and Nordstrom- they both have cute options that don't have skirts or other things to make you look like an old pregnant lady!! I also found if you do the mix and match option at Target and get a L/XL top you can squeeze it over the belly. That's what I did last year but this year I creeping into one piece territory since I have to chase a baby.

  4. You will look amazing in whatever you pick! I was 9 months pregnant, so I feel ya! I still rocked a bikini though. Target might be a good way to go since you buy separates and get a bigger top. Good luck!

  5. Swim suit shopping is the worst, though I admit the boob department has never been the issue for me. haha. At least you don't have to worry about sucking it in! :) I say go with whatever you are most comfortable in. It sounds like the maternity top and regular bottoms would work!

I'm going to try and avoid the summer when I get pregnant....I hate wearing a bathing suit NOW, I can't even imagine how that changes when you're pregnant.

  13. WELL they say 9 months because even though they start counting at the first day of your last period, you obviously aren't pregnant until around week 4... so you really only experience 9 months of pregnancy in terms of gestational age. However, it FEELS like longer ;-) I love the last suit! I just realized this may be my first summer in FOREVER not wearing a swimsuit at all... Yikes!

  16. Have you looked at the ASOS bathing suits yet? Their maternity suits are cute! I just wore a regular bikini with one of my larger cut buttons and said to hell with it :-)
