Thoughts for Thursday

+ Thank you all for the support on my "I don't want to go back to work" post. Lots of good reminders and support in those comments. Made me feel a lot better and also that I am not alone in the struggle.

+ Speaking of going back to work, my original return date was December 31st. I originally had wanted to collect on the New Years holiday but changed my mind. I asked my boss if I could return January 5th instead and he said yes! This makes me SO happy. Technically my maternity leave was up November 18th but I have an awesome boss who said I could stay home until the new year without losing my job. Granted I am not getting paid but hey...that's what my husband is for ;).

+ Pretty stoked I was able to purchase some heirloom moccasins from Freshly Picked when they had a Cyber Monday promo. 20% off and the price still made me want to gag but I pulled the trigger. Hey, it's from Santa.
+ We are getting pictures taken tomorrow by Meg Sexton. I am pretty excited because not only does she take insanely gorgeous photos, but she needed local people with a newborn for an industry magazine shoot. I am excited to take some sweet photos in our home with such talent behind the lens!

+ And lastly our Christmas photos came back and I love them! So hard to choose just one but if you follow me on Instagram you already saw my favorite!
Be sure to check back tomorrow if you are the winner of a $200 credit to Minted!

  6. It's crazy how much maternity leave you get! Is it a California thing? We get 12 weeks and after that they don't have to hold your job. Your Christmas pic is precious!

  9. I couldn't even comment on your back to work post because I couldn't put any words together. Icant imagine what you must be feeling right now. How awesome is your boss though?! That is amazing that you got a little extra time. I'll be thinking of you and Presley and hoping for a smooth transition for you both as you move back into the work force. I hope you plan on sharing some sneaks from your upcoming shoot! It sounds amazing!

  11. Such a sweet, little family! And the struggle is definitely real. So hard to go back to work and leave your little. You will have to figure out what is best for you and for your family. Sometimes that is to continue to go back to work and pursue your career. Sometimes that is determining you are better suited at home. Neither is better than the other, neither is easier than the other. It's totally up to you all. You will get through it, though! I promise.
