Scenes from the long weekend

I'm still in a food coma from Thanksgiving on top of in mourning of the absolute gorgeous, Paul Walker. So excuse me for lack of words on this Monday!
Made individual pecan pies - turned out pretty yummy (despite how they look!)
Delicious Williams-Sonoma focaccia bread stuffing.
Cornucopia not used in the Hunger Games.
Up to no good!
Too much food.
He likes it I swear.
The next day instead of Black Friday we decided to pan for gold. Strange but true! I've always wanted to wear waders and go gold panning so consider this two things off my bucket list!
Not figure flattering whatsoever!
Bummer no gold found!

We ended our stay in Auburn by taking out the boat on Rollins Lake in Colfax. It was a gorgeous day!
It was a great trip but I'm happy to be home! On Sunday Kerri and I went and saw Catching Fire which was so good!

Hope everyone had a great long weekend. I'm still so sad about Paul Walker - I've loved him for a long time. David thought I was being strange but I'm sad!! Tell me you ladies can relate?!

Check back tomorrow for the winner of the JOY banner! Thank you to everyone who entered!

What a fun thing to do instead of shopping on black friday - bummer you didn't find any gold though ;)
I was sad about Paul Walker too!! You feel like you know them after watching them for so many years, and it is always so sad to me when someone passes away too young (did you realize he was 40 though? I had no idea!) So I totally understand what you were saying...I'm still not over Brittany Murphy :(

  20. OMG! I love so many things about this post! First, I learned to wakeboard at Rollins lake and grew up going there. My parents live like 10 minutes from there! Also, those mini pies are SO cute! I have been trying to think of things to make for coworkers, can you send the recipe? I think that would be a big hit! Also, Andrew would be so jealous you panned for gold. I did it a few times with school since I did grow up there in the heart of Gold Country, but Andrew really really wants to go sometime. I'll have to tell him you did that. And finally, that picture of Finn in the leaves! SO CUTE! What a photogenic pup! I love him. Looks like you had a wonderful weekend. xo
