I'm Not That Girl

I am not the kind of person who...

...over analyses baby registry decisions. Does that make me a bad mom? Research just is not my thing and I trust that mini will be just fine. I chose our car seat because Nordstrom carries it as well...in Nordstrom I trust.
...has ever thought about going paleo, gluten free, and god forbid sugar free.

...is with my husband 24/7. Girls need girlfriends people!!

...reprimands our dog. Boy can do as he pleases, this is his house and you're a guest.
Water from the fountain - have at it!
Need a pillow? Have mine.
Use our coffee table as a bed? Get comfy!
Sleep on our bed and take all the room? No Problem!

...ever grew out of watching cartoons. I am so excited to watch all those Disney movies all over again.

...pays full price for things.

...is early...to anything...ever.

...likes to cook. Dinner stresses me out and I hate planning and prepping it!

I am also guest posting on my girl Stephanie's blog, Newlyweds North while she is babymooning in Greece! Lucky duck!Come say hi!

  3. Oh my gosh I am with you on never being early! Actually if we are on time, that means early to me. haha! And your rules for Finn sound like us... who knew we'd be such softies with dogs? Just wait, that little baby girl is going to rule the house next! :)

  4. Haha! I like your Nordstrom philosophy - sounds good to me! And nooo way to all the fancy diets out there. Never going to happen for me. Everything in moderation!!

  5. cooking stresses me the hell out too! Seriously could go through a bottle of wine a night and it's not bc I put it in the food! ha

  6. Ok ditto for me on all these. LIKE YES YES YES. Except for the dog one. I can really see what a dog mom you are by the funny things you wrote! I suppose I feel the strongest about what you said about the vegan, paleo, etc. I think my husband and I would divorce if I did that bc then we would eat two totally separate meals 24/7!

  7. Doggies should be allowed to do whatever they please! Jamo is such a spoiled little dingo and I love it, he runs me and our house. Zack will reprimand him from time to time and he just comes running to mama, he knows what I sucker I am! I love what an animal lover you are, I wish we could have doggy play-dates.

I also never pay full price for anything. People are often surprised when they see what a cheapskate I am, except when it comes to certain things...like Louboutins, because they're never discounted. It's really not logical to spend that much on a pair of shoes and be such a massive tightwad, but oh well, I am what I am!

  8. I love finding deals so I'm 100% with you about not paying full price for things and when I do pay full price you can bet I bought it at Nordstrom. And I have to say that I love that kids still love the traditional Disney movies as much as we did. I love watching the Little Mermaid and Sleeping Beauty and Nimo with my niece and listening to her sing along with the song from my childhood. :)

  10. I beg my husband to watch Disney movies and he won't do it so you're going to get the full deal soon and I'm JEALOUS ha. Damn right it's Finn's house and we are all just guests. Love it.

  12. I could have written this post- everyone in my family is doing paleo right now but I can't imagine giving up sugar and dairy!! I have the maxi cosi pria 70 (the convertible car seat) and we love it. I've been so happy with the brand and the material they use is so soft- I feel like Miller likes it so much more than his infant car seat which was a Chicco keyfit

  13. Love this post! We have so much in common lady ;) I know I'll be the same on the baby registry - Aaron will be another story though! Same as you on the diets, puppy, girlfriend, cooking...and definitely on paying full price... I'm actually quite proud of the fact that I can always find what I want on discount somehow, somewhere ;) haha! xx

  15. Theo has been starting to read all the Cesar Millan books and watch all his shows and it drives me nuts! I'm like she's dog let her do what she wants to do! Now he's trying to get me to do it too and I give up too quickly. If pixie doesn't want to sit before eating dinner then don't make her! My baby's hungry!

  18. I never reprimand my dog and now living back at home, my mom calls me out on it all the time! I just roll my eyes and tell her she doesn't understand! lol.

  20. We had that car seat as well. I personally thought it was great! Now we've graduated on to the Maxi Cosi Pria70 because we liked our first car seat! The dog one might change though. I was ALL about our dog before baby. And now I get so annoyed when she does anything, like lay on baby's blanket. Not that she'd know why either!

  21. I'm not a researcher either, but my husband TOTALLY is. I hated registering for our wedding, because I clicked on anything that was cute, and he had to read all the labels and such to see which one was the best for the money. I wanted to gouge my eyes out.

Ya know, I hate prepping and planning dinners too. I SO wish that I enjoyed it, but I'm not at that point yet.
