Lake Tahoe Lovin'

This past weekend we spontaneously decided to make a weekend trip to Lake Tahoe. Friday after work we packed up our car and hoped P would sleep the majority of the ride...wishful thinking on that one! While we had a good time, it was a little more crowded than we remembered it to be. I think that it because we are used to meeting up with our friend, Natasha, and she and Ryan know where to take us away from all the tourists!

Regardless, we were excited to finally log some lake time and a stop at the in laws on the way home for dinner didn't hurt on Sunday evening. Broke the ride up, P got out some energy and we were able to crawl right into bed when we got home.
Until next time Tahoe <3

Scenes from Tahoe

A delayed photo dump is what I have in store for today! If you have never been to Lake Tahoe it needs to go on your list of must see's! Its beauty never disappoints!

Kerri made us a cute gift basket to kick off the weekend.
So glad I had my long range lens!
It was our seventh annual year of our tradition and we were all there which is quite a feat! I'm so thankful for amazing girlfriends!

Hope you all had a great weekend and happy week of Thanksgiving!

Scenes from the Weekend - Lake Tahoe

Why is it that long weekends even seem to go by too fast? David and I had an awesome weekend visiting our friends Ryan, Natasha & baby Ethan! I may or may not have taken over 200 photos of his sweet little mug. He is such an easy baby and he sleeps past 9am - he only further fueled my baby fire! David and I drove up late on Friday night so we could avoid traffic and we didn't get up until midnight. However we never sat in any Labor Day traffic so I am happy we chose to go up late.
Saturday day we went to the lake and hung out. Sharing a bottle of white wine and going through gossip magazines it was a prefect way to be vacationing.
Saturday evening we took the boat out for a spin on the lake and the view and sunset were gorgeous. Although Lake Tahoe seldom disappoints there was a thick layer of smoke in the air from the Rim Fire that is currently still uncontained in Yosemite. Despite the smoke the weather was perfect and calm. Such a fun night!
This guy is always smiling!

After a fun night out on the lake and heading to a local bar we called it a night. Sunday morning was made for lounging about...thanks in part to all the wine consumed the night prior! However I was happy to whip out my camera and practice my skills on someone other than Finn. Sweet Ethan was for the most part a willing participant.

Don't worry I made sure to give Wilson extra loving as well.

Hope you all had a safe and relaxing Laborless weekend!!
When we got home on Monday afternoon, all summer décor went away until next year and fall has arrived! Love this time of year!
