Wedding Week: First Look

I have to say that having a first look was something I struggled with. I really did not want to take away from the specialness of David seeing me walk down the aisle for the first time. That being said we decided anyway to do a first look and I am so happy we did. It really was our only alone time during our wedding and the photos are some of my absolute favorite! Plus I blubbered like a baby through my vows - so I am happy we got some good pics before hand. We took a lot - but I will try and narrow it down to a select few.  The talent behind the lens is Rob Skog with Jennifer Skog Photographers. I honestly thought it was dream to have him photograph our wedding. In fact I even went through a little drama with another photographer (a different person than the person who did our engagement photos) - I cancelled our contract and asked for a refund - because I knew there was no one else I wanted to take our photos. I am SO GLAD I followed my instinct even though it was a hard one. The original photographer we scheduled oozed talent as well - but I knew in my heart of hearts that I needed to follow my gut. She was gracious enough to refund our deposit and we were able to proceed with my dream photographer.

It's the first time I really stuck to my guns on something - I am so happy I did!

Most girls tap their husband to be on the shoulder...nope I slapped him on the booty!
The above photo is my absolute favorite
We used the above photo for our thank you cards.
A close second for favorite above - pure joy is radiating between us. I wish I could bottle up that emotion!

Check back tomorrow for the reception!
