Five on Friday

Another weekend is here and I am so grateful for it! Getting out of bed when it is so dang cold is near impossible on weekdays!

ONE
Peach State of Mind

I've joined a group of sweet ladies to do a weekly linkup for the month of December! (It started yesterday - but I am a bad blogger and forgot!)

The linkup will happen every Thursday
12/5- January, February & March
12/12- April, May & June
12/19- July, August & September
12/26- October, November & December

Even if you were not blogging yet the point is to recap your favorite memories from the months listed above. Hope you join all of us!

Lauren - Ashley - Miranda - Kerri

TWO
We are celebrating David's 31st birthday this year by heading out to Tomales Bay on Saturday. Oysters, cheese and wine always a good time! Remember this post? Well we're doing it all over again except with a new birthday boy!

THREE
One my friend, Kristi, has asked me to come take some photos of her newborn and 2 year old son. I know I am not a professional photographer by any means but I love that she is calling on me to capture some memories for her! We are taking them inside near her fireplace. Any suggestions photographers? Settings I should have?

FOUR
This Sunday we are getting our Christmas tree! And let me tell you not having it all week has made me sad! I am so excited to go chop it down!
Also happy to have my real camera as opposed to my phone for this year!

FIVE
I am also happy to say I have completed almost all of my Christmas shopping. I put David in charge of the boys in our family (except I took care of my five nephews) and have one present left to buy for my littlest nephew, Logan! Pretty great feeling!

Hope you all have a fantastic week! And don't forget to link up with us next Thursday!

Linking up with all the ladies!

  2. Wow jealous of your Christmas shopping progress! My advice for your pictures is shoot on any setting without a flash, you don't want a wrinkled brow or to wake the baby up. I use manual mode. Also bring a space heater. You will burn up but it will keep that little babe comfy and asleep if y'all decide to do naked pictures! And definitely allow yourself PLENTY of time. Newborn shoots take a really long time especially if you have a fussy baby that needs to be fed or held. If y'all are planning on doing sleeping pictures ask Mom to feed him right before you get there so he will be good and asleep. Good luck!

  10. I've been sad this week too since we won't get our Christmas tree until tomorrow. But, our money for our tree went to a charity this year, so I try to remember that every time I get sad.
Can't wait to hear about your weekend and Tomales Bay! I've heard it's gorgeous there!

  11. Can't wait to see your decorated tree!! And I'm totally impressed you have all your shopping done! I only have 1/2 that many people to buy for and I'm still working on it - starting to feel the stress of the days running out! ;)

  19. We got our tree decorated last night! It makes me so happy! Have fun cutting down your tree! It was so weird, I've NEVER gone to a tree lot and just bought a pre-cut tree, but we did that this week since we're in SF now. So different than the tree farm! But, we went with my parents last weekend and cut theirs down, so I didn't miss out on the experience at least! xoxo Have a great weekend!
