Dreaming in Denim

I did something dumb yesterday. I knew I wasn't ready but thought I would try anyways...

I tried to fit into my pre-pregnancy jeans

FAIL.

Let me start by saying that I gained 30 pounds in pregnancy and as of today have lost all 30 pounds. However, my body is just different which is to be expected I also realize I just had a baby six weeks ago (six weeks?! How did that happen so fast?)

With the holidays coming up I need to really keep an eye on what I consume. Because let me tell ya, if those incredibly cute Rag & Bone destroyed skinny jeans I bought last fall don't fit this fall...mama is gonna be mad! (However if they were to become too large, I wouldn't mind that). Here are some denims I am lusting after - disclaimer: they are all expensive.

Le Color Rip

Hudson 'Beth' Jeans

Paige 'Hidden Hills' Jeans

  1. Why do we do this to ourselves? I did it too and it was ugly. Target has some awesome jeans right now though, that have lots of stretch if you're looking for a cheap way to get yourself through the next few weeks while things get back to normal :)

  9. That's amazing you lost all that in 6 weeks! I have heard from so many girls that your body can be quite different after pregnancy -eeek! I would be just like you, trying to see if I fit into my jeans again. I'm sure you'll be back in them in no time, and then you can treat yourself to those ripped skinny jeans-love them!

  11. Right there with ya girl! I'm down my pregnancy weight, but I have these new things called hips that prevent any of my jeans from fitting. I don't know if they'll go down enough for my pants to fit again ... I vote our hubby's let us have a shopping spree. After all, we did birth their children. ;)

  12. Aww man, I'm nearly 9 months out and I still don't fit in my jeans right. I gained inches in my hips...and never lost the fat in my booty...so I'm hoping a year out maybe I'll fit in them again.

  13. Booo I remember this and I'm not looking forward to going through it again!! It took me about 4-5 months to fit back into my old jeans even though I had lost all the weight. I did splurge on an in between pair so I could stop rocking maternity pants and feel more comfortable
