Friday's Fancies: Flight Essentials

Flight Essentials

While I am gallivanting around New York right now I thought I would link up to Friday's Fancies (in advance) for my go to flight essentials!

Gap 1969 zipper legging skinny jeans: I just bought these jeans after I saw my friend, Kerri, wear them to Carpe on Saturday night. They looked so cute on her and she raved about how comfortable they were so I decided to purchase them for New York. I wore them to work on Tuesday and they are incredibly comfortable! Good plane flight clothing!

GapFit Breath V-Neck T: I randomly picked one of these up because I had store credit that was burning a hole in my pocket and I am in love. I love to purchase clothes at Lululemon but seriously my work out tee's will all be from the Gap. This new line of breathable shirts are so soft and top quality! Again so comfortable for a long flight.

Denim Jacket: I like to wear a denim jacket on planes because they are easy to store away into my bag and go through security with. They also provide enough warmth without making me too hot.

Matt Bernson Flats: I prefer to wear flats over flip flops on planes,. Still easy to take off but cover enough of my foot so my tootsies don't get too cold! I like Matt Bernson because his are elastic in the back so when I cross my legs the heels don't pop off.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Large Tate Tote: I use this bag for all my carry on travel. It holds my blanket, water bottle (I fill it at the drink dispenser),candy, iPad and magazines just perfectly!

Giraffe at Home Blanket: Y'all know I don't travel anywhere without my favorite blanket! Love this one because it perfectly fits in my bag and I like to use it on the plane. It always gets a nice clean wash after every trip it takes!

iPad: I am a huge fan of my iPad and while I didn't purchase the one with WiFi on it I do download movies and things on it before a big trip. Currently I have episodes 4, 5, 6 & 7 of the first season of Downton Abbey to watch.  I am way behind on this but the first three episodes I saw I loved!

Dry Shampoo: After a long flight I like to freshen up with some dry shampoo. I recently received the Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo in my Birchbox and it smells heavenly! I also like to use hair ties like these for flights since they tend not to crease my hair.

Before I trek off for a long trip without David I like to bring one of his t-shirts to sleep in. I usually spritz it with his scent since it's such a comforting familiar smell.

And lastly what does a five hour flight next to your mother and sister need? A cocktail Cocktails plural!! Hopefully after a couple I will be able to zonk out!!

I'll be back on Wednesday!!
Have a great weekend!

  6. I like all your picks! I can't wear those hair ties in my hair! They don't hold my thick hair too well. I'm always looking for a new dry shampoo I'll have to check out Klorane! So jealous you're in NYC!!! I know you'll have a fantastic time! Can't wait to hear all about it!!!
